Yuelin (Jolene) Zhao is a LA based production designer originally from Beijing, China. She received her undergraduate degree at University of California San Diego majored in Visual Arts Media, and then received her MFA Film Production degree at University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. As of now, Jolene's narrative works have been awarded and nominated at film festivals including Sundance, Slamdance, Tribeca and Shanghai International Film Festival. Her works are streaming on platforms including Disney +, Amazon Prime, Vimeo On Demand and Omeleto. Jolene also has extensive experience in commercial productions. She has worked with clients such as Tesla, Jubilee Media, Moonbug Entertainment, LAVA Music, Lilith Games and Xiaomi. Some of her credits include: Shanghai International Film Festival Official Selection Summer Knows, Tribeca Film Festival Audience Award winning Cherry, Sundance Film Festival Hong Kong award-winning Where Dreams Rest, Slamdance official selection Tsugumi, and Palm Springs International Film Festival Official Selection Kindling. Jolene believes that film is a medium where her imagination can come alive. She loves a wide range of stories - from building worlds of dystopia and fantasy to observing people and ordinary things.
